In what was considered a somewhat surprising move at the time, the Padres decided to send Luis Urías (2B, SD) back to Triple-A at the end of spring training, keeping him off the Opening Day roster. That didn’t last long, however, as an injury to Franchy Cordero (OF, SD) created an opening for him to rejoin the club.

Urias is an athletic 21-year-old that entered the season ranked #26 on the HQ100 and earned an 8C rating in the Minor League Baseball Analyst, with above-average defensive skills and the ability to play both middle-infield positions.
