This article and its companion AL article are simply designed to give you some last minute snapshots in some unsettled pens as we start the season. Remember that bullpens are always dynamic. What is true today will change tomorrow--and that is the case during Spring Training, during the first month, during the last month, and everything in-between.
We start here with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Projections give 16 saves to Kevin Ginkel (RHP, ARI) and 14 saves to Paul Sewald (RHP, ARI). After that, the search is for someone better to emerge or return from injury, such as A.J. Puk (LHP, ARI) or Justin Martinez (RHP, ARI). Here are the current projections:
