RELIEVERS: Saves at risk

 

This week, the column examines some bullpens identified by the Saves At Risk chart (under the Stats and Tools pulldown menu, follow Leading Indicators, then Bullpen Indicators). That chart filters closers who are either below 6.0 Dom, 2.0 Cmd or above 1.0 hr/9. A pretty simple measure of skills, but an effective way to identify closer slots on the verge of changes. The pens identified for this column are Cleveland, Colorado, L.A. Dodgers, L.A. Angels, Miami, San Diego, Seattle and Tampa Bay. We start with the Indians:
