RELIEVERS: Pens affected by trades

The lead up to the deadline could have been entitled "All Quiet on the Western Front." And the Eastern Front. And the Central Front, for that matter, at least as far as relievers are concerned. But then the moves came.  Here are five teams that made pen moves—CHW, HOU, MIL, OAK and TOR—and some other trade fallout.

The White Sox got Brett Myers (RHP, CHW) as noted here and elsewhere. Myers fills an important set-up role from the right side and is a reliable arm behind rookie closer Addison Reed (RHP, CHW). The current projections for this pen are as follows:

CHW Sv Hld IP ERA WHIP
==============  == === ====  ====  ====
Thornton (L)    1   5  21.0  3.43  1.19
Reed            9   3  21.0  3.86  1.10
Myers          ...

Almost!
