RELIEVERS: Five pens

This week, we run through the Chicago (NL), Colorado, Milwaukee, Seattle and Tampa Bay pens.

The Chicago Cubs went through three closers in April: Carlos Marmol (RHP, CHC), Kyuji Fujikawa (RHP, CHC) and now Kevin Gregg (RHP, CHC). Fujikawa got hurt right away and only has 4.1 awful innings (12.46 ERA, 2.08 WHIP) although the skills appear to be intact. Marmol has been awful as well. So Gregg was acquired and thrust into the closer role and has responded solidly, to date. Here are the numbers:

CHC IP ERA WHIP Dom Cmd HR/9 xERA G/F BPV pxERA pBPV
================= ====  ==== ====  ==== ==== ==== ==== ===== ===  ===== ====
Gregg              4.0  0.00 1.25   9.0  2.0  0.0 4.25 36/45  54   4.38   35
Marmol          ...
