RELIEVERS: 2023 Gambles

This column focuses on gambles, the inverse of sleepers, relievers who have shaky skill sets and could lose saves as a result. Let's start with the Twins where Jhoan Duran (RHP, MIN) is so great that they have him in a "highest leverage reliever" role and intend to let Jorge López​ (RHP, MIN) handle the saves. In fact, they traded four minor league pitchers to get López for this purpose. López was an All-Star in 2022 and racked up 19 saves in 44 games with a 1.68 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 54 strikeouts against 17 walks in 48.1 innings with the Orioles. So why is he on this list? Here are the projections for 2023:
