Five more pens with varied saves options

The beginning of spring training, when we hear about setbacks and injury schedules and maybe some roles chatter, as well as working on new pitches; who “looks good” who is “in the best shape” and who is not. Lots and lots of noise. And—a great time for speculators.

Last week's look at some pens where the manager probably does not yet know himself who will get the bulk of the saves generated some fun discussion. One commenter noted Jon Gray (RHP, TEX) as a potential closer for the Texas Rangers—something the team has already discussed as an option. One commenter floated Michael Soroka (RHP, WAS) as the closer for the Washington Nationals—nothing they have said out loud, so far … but not a crazy thought.
