AL Central: Another possible Minnesota catcher timeshare

The playing time at catcher was split pretty evenly in 2023, with Ryan Jeffers (C, MIN) totaling 335 PA and Christian Vázquez (C, MIN) ending up with 355. Jeffers did have the edge in playing time over the final two months of the season (144 PA to 118) and started every playoff game behind the plate as well. But Manager Rocco Baldelli recently stated that he anticipates a pretty even split again in 2024.

Jeffers had a breakout season at the plate, when he hit .276/.369/.489 with 14 HR. A BA repeat seems unlikely, but he should once again be a strong power source behind the dish. Jeffers is likely to earn the most starts at the position, but he can't be counted on for as hefty of a workload as the early round...
