The Giants’ miserable season continues as Willy Adames has recently hit the IL with a UCL strain. Even before the injury, Christian Koss has already found himself with everyday at-bats, and now his spot in the lineup appears to be even more secure. And Koss has also moved up in the batting lineup—slightly anyway, now getting time in both the 7- and 8-hole instead of being locked into the 9-hole. Even with the regular play, however, Koss is an emergency fantasy fill-in except in the deepest of leagues: since his transition to near-everyday player (as of July 25th), he is hitting only .222 (with an xBA under .200) in nearly 100 plate appearances, and his .258 OBP doesn’t suggest he has much control of the strike...
