GM's OFFICE: MLB trends, our responses—rookie edition

We frequently say that our Subscriber Forums are a great resource, both for insightful discussions and a sense of community around our site and the games we play. This thought-provoking question popped up this week, coincidentally right as I was fishing for ideas for this column.

First of all, let me state clearly that I love the long-term steady approach of HQ and skills approach. I have won my league several times already by staking out the best skilled players who eventually (usually) come through. It seems MLB is changing and to that end HQ has already changed its Pitcher Evaluation to account for increased K production. My question comes to the emphasis in MLB for bringing up prospects earlier and earlier, many of the best before...
