The immediate ripple effects of the Corey Seager (SS, LA) injury were covered by Jock Thompson in Playing Time Today earlier this week—with Chris Taylor (2B/OF, LA) more or less moving from CF to SS—creating an opportunity ripe for the taking if one of the Dodgers OFs can get hot in a hurry.
Alex Verdugo (OF, LA), the team’s #1 position prospect and recipient of an 8B rating in the Minor League Baseball Analyst, makes for an intriguing speculation in both the short- and long-term. Verdugo was hitting .276/.309/.474 across 76 at-bats in AAA-Oklahoma City, but the knock on him from a fantasy standpoint has been his lack of power, as he hit only 6 HR in 117 games (433 AB) in the PCL last year—with an uninspiring 58%...
