AL West: 2027 Look Ahead

The Mariners will enter 2027 with a new-looking infield. For 2026, the Mariners have Josh Naylor at 1B, Cole Young at 2B, J.P. Crawford at SS, and a mixed bag at 3B. Currently, they are rolling with Brock Rodden at 3B, but Brendan Donovan, Patrick Wisdom, Weston Wilson, and Colt Emerson have seen time at 3B.
Naylor is locked into 1B, so nothing to see there. Cole Young has put together a nice rookie season, hitting .248 with 17 home runs and three steals. He’s played nearly every game for the Mariners at 2B, with a 102 HctX while also showcasing a 104 Spd rating. Young should be the starting 2B for the Mariners in 2027.
