PT TOMORROW: NL West- Pitch clock trouble in SF

Camilo Doval (RHP, SF) was one of the few pitchers that we saw clearly adversely affected by the pitch clock over the first weekend of the season. In his only appearance through Tuesday, Doval had a pair of pitch clock violations that forced him to start 1-0 down on the count on each occasion. While he managed to escape a jam to successfully convert the save chance, manager Gabe Kapler specifically noted Doval’s need to adjust after the game. Per Maria Guardado of MLB.com, Kapler stated, “It doesn't matter how good you are. We were fortunate to get out of that one with a victory, but we're going to need to address it. Camilo is good at making adjustments."
