AL East: Campbell showing signs of life in Triple-A

After inking an eight-year contract extension with Boston upon making the 2025 Opening Day roster, Kristian Campbell looked to be locked in as a core building block for the team. However, his career has taken a tumultuous turn since, as he was demoted to AAA-Worcester on June 20 of last year and has not appeared in a major league game since. 

Campbell's 2026 season got off to an extremely rocky start, further clouding his future status with Boston, as he was hitting .214/.345/.286 in 279 PA through the end of June. In July, though, Campbell seemingly turned a corner, as he was extremely effective at the plate, hitting .379/.507/.552 in 74 PA. The most notable shift in Campbell was a decrease in strikeouts, as he cut his K%...
