After inking an eight-year contract extension with Boston upon making the 2025 Opening Day roster, Kristian Campbell looked to be locked in as a core building block for the team. However, his career has taken a tumultuous turn since, as he was demoted to AAA-Worcester on June 20 of last year, and has not appeared in a major league game since.
Campbell's 2026 season got off to an extremely rocky start, even further clouding Campbell's future status with Boston, as he was hitting .214/.345/.286 in 279 PA through end of June. In July, though, Campbell seemingly turned a corner, as he was extremely effective at the plate, hitting .379/.507/.552 in 74 PA. The most notable shift in Campbell was a decrease in his contact...
