Dylan Floro (RHP, MIA) made his season debut on May 10 after rehabbing right rotator cuff tendinitis. After a skills surge in the second half of 2021 (136 BPV), it looked like the 31-year-old might be able to hold down the closing gig in Miami coming into this season. But in six appearances since coming off the shelf, he's struggled: 5 IP, 2 BB, 1 K, -18 BPV, 91.8 Vel. That velocity figure shows a loss of two ticks off his fastball since 2021, which strongly suggests that Floro may not be over his spring shoulder issues.

Anthony Bender (RHP, MIA) leads the team with 6 SV as its putative closer. The skills he showed in 2021 (96.9 Vel, 21.1% K-BB%, 136 BPV) were those of a worthy closer candidate, and many drafters gambled...
