PT TOMORROW: AL East—How Lowe do other TAM OFers have to go?

Tampa Bay Rays

The bat of Josh Lowe (OF, TAM) may be heating up at just the right time.

Over a nine-game stretch from June 7 to 16, Lowe went 13-for-33 with a home run and three stolen bases, along with more walks (8) than strikeouts (6), a positive sign for a player who has struggled to control the strike zone and make contact in the majors.

Meanwhile, the combination of Brett Phillips (OF, TAM), with his minus-53 BPV and .177 xBA, and the punchless Harold Ramírez (OF, TAM) has been less than ideal.

Plus, Kevin Kiermaier (OF, TAM) has missed games on June 16 and 17 after leaving the one on June 15 with a tight left Achilles/calf.

It would certainly seem like Tampa could use another option, given Phillips and Ramirez’s lack of dynamism...

Almost!
