As you may have heard BHQ’s Sara Sanchez say, Coors Field is undefeated vs. pitchers. Even if a starting pitcher figures out how to pitch well despite the high altitude and massive outfield, the success has proven over and again not to last—eventually, Denver comes out on top as the pitcher’s skills lose out.
Could Chase Dollander be the exception? In two home starts this year, he has been nearly, if not completely, dominant. On April 4th, Dollander put together 4.1 innings against the Phillies, notching 6 K while giving up only 1 R. While he did allow 4 H, his 71% GB% helped keep the hits from being too damaging. In a more recent start, April 21st against the Padres, Dollander was even more impressive: 6 IP and 9 K...
