Cedric Mullins’ abysmal start to the season continues to drag on in Tampa Bay. Mullins is sporting the worst OPS in baseball among qualified hitters as his season line now sits at .148/.202/.235 in 113 PA. Considering that Mullins is signed to a one-year contract, though, it’s fair to question just how long his leash on playing time in center field is as the season progresses.

While Mullins’ has stayed in the lineup against right-handed starters, starting 96% of the team’s games, his plate appearances per active week (PAAW) stands at 17.6, which ranks sixth among Tampa Bay hitters.
