NEWS: Toronto placed RHP Jordan Romano on the 15-day IL with right elbow inflammation; RHP Brendan Little was recalled from AAA-Buffalo in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: The injury bug continues to spread throughout the Blue Jays pitching staff with Romano succumbing to his second injury of the season. An MRI has revealed no structural damage so for now Romano will be shut down, but this is the second instance of elbow inflammation this season making this a red-flag injury. Thus far Romano’s numbers are not to his usual standard with a 6.59 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, 20 K%, 13.7 SwK% that are below his career norms; leaving one to wonder if this injury has lingered throughout the season.
