BHQ SPIN:. Vest converted Detroit’s only save opportunity over the weekend and now has 3 saves on the season, which is already a career high for the 29-year-old. He has experienced some good luck so far this season (12 H%, 100 S%), but there has been some improvement in his skills that back up the results. Vest has increased his K% to 36% and his swinging strike rate complies with this data (20.4%). He is also keeping the ball on the ground at a high rate (56 GB%) and all of this is factoring into a very good 2.62 xERA.
