NEWS: OF/1B Jac Caglianone was diagnosed with a grade 1 flexor strain.

BHQ SPIN: After Caglianone left Saturday’s game with elbow soreness, testing on Sunday revealed a low-grade strain. For now, he will avoid an IL stint. Caglianone will reportedly be shut down from throwing until he is reevaluated on Tuesday or Wednesday. If all checks out from there, he would then ramp up baseball activities before prepping for a potential return. Given this timeline, he should at the very least miss all of the team’s three-game series against Arizona that ends on Wednesday; however, it would not be a surprise to see his absence linger on for longer.
