Angels | Shohei Ohtani done for season
Los Angeles Angels OF Shohei Ohtani (knee) will undergo surgery Friday, Sept. 13, to address a bipartite patella in his left knee and will be sidelined 8-12 weeks, effectively ending his season.  Source: Angels.com

BHQ take: Jared Walsh seems like the big PT% winner here as he auditions for a 1B/DH/RP 2020 roster spot. Albert Pujols will get more time off his feet at the DH spot, while Justin Bour helps Walsh handle 1B. But with two-plus weeks to go, it's just a guess. Owners needing AB down the stretch should keep tabs on this situation.  —Jock Thompson
