| St. Louis Cardinals SP Adam Wainwright (Achilles') has been cleared to appear out of the bullpen for an inning Wednesday, Sept. 30, Friday, Oct. 2, and Sunday, Oct. 4, if needed. Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Derrick Goold | |
| BHQ take: Wainwright tossed 27 pitches in a simulated game Saturday, September 26 (four Ks, a single, and a flyout), so he shouldn't be expected to go much more than one inning over any outing this week. —Mike Shears | |
