NEWS: Minnesota acquired RHP Pablo López from Miami for Luis Arraez, and OF Michael A. Taylor from Kansas City for two minor-league pitchers.

IMPACT: High

BHQ SPIN: López will join Sonny Gray, Joe Ryan and Tyler Mahle in the rotation. That leaves one spot for Bailey Ober and Kenta Maeda. It appears Maeda will open spring as the favorite to win a rotation spot, leaving Ober for the pen, unless MIN goes with a six-man rotation. With Maeda coming off Tommy John surgery in 2021, it would appear the Twins will watch his workload and Ober should still see a decent amount of innings if the early predictions come to pass. Lopez arrives in MIN after a 2022 season in which he had a 3.75 ERA and 174 K in 180...
