Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Justin Turner (groin) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday, July 23, with a strained right groin. OF Alex Verdugo was recalled from Class AAA Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.  Source: MLBRosterMoves
 
BHQ take: Turner had struggled to hit for any power (four HR through 121 AB) since his return from the DL. Despite good contact (87% ct%, 130 HctX), it was clear that Turner's surgically repaired wrist and other physical woes have hampered his offense—and recently his ability to stay on the field.
