NEWS: Mariners activate RHP Diego Castillo from the IL and in a corresponding move, LHP Brendan Bernardino was sent to AAA-Tacoma. Mariners also move RHP Chris Flexen to the bullpen.

BHQ SPIN: The Mariners get back an important piece to the back end of their bullpen with Castillo’s activation. He assumed his normal high leverage spot in the bullpen and came into a one run game in the 8th inning on 8/10 and had a clean inning with a hold. His skills aren’t quite what we are used to seeing and he has the highest ERA/WHIP (3.93/1.31) in his career, but much of that damage was done leading up to his IL stint.
