Cincinnati Reds SP Homer Bailey (elbow) was activated from the disabled list Thursday, July 28. In a corresponding move, OF Kyle Waldrop was optioned to Class AAA Louisville.  Source: MLB.com
 
BHQ take: Bailey's first start in his return from 2015 Tommy John surgery is scheduled for Sunday, July 31. Bailey made only two starts in 2015 before being diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He posted three straight 90+ BPV seasons (2012-14) prior to 2015. Bailey will take the rotation slot vacated by John Lamb's recent demotion to Triple-A....
