Los Angeles Angels 1B Albert Pujols (knee) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Thursday, Aug. 30, because of a left knee injury. The team also recalled C José Briceño from Class AAA Salt Lake.   Source: MLBRosterMoves
 
BHQ take: Pujols will miss the remainder of 2018, leaving a load of 1B/DH time available. Initial word is that Jefry Marte and Kaleb Cowart will initially take over first base duties, but Jose Miguel Fernandez is another good bet for a September call-up.
