Padres | Jemile Weeks placed on DL
San Diego Padres 2B Jemile Weeks (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, May 08, due to a strained right hamstring. The Padres recalled INF Jose Pirela from Class AAA El Paso in a corresponding move.  Source: North County Times - Jay Paris
 
BHQ take: Not surprisingly, Weeks was 7-for-50 before his injury, which suggests that his latest MLB opportunity is a thing of the past, particularly with Cory Spangenberg’s return likely before the end of the month. Pirela and weak-hitting (10-for-54, 54% ct%) Adam Rosales now appear to be the second base options...
