Mets | Daniel Murphy to DL
New York Mets 2B Daniel Murphy (calf) was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right calf. Murphy had an MRI exam on his injured calf Thursday, Aug. 28. 2B Dilson Herrera was recalled from Double-A Binghamton to fill Murphy's spot on the roster. Herrera was hitting .340 with 10 home runs in the minors. Murphy didn't estimate how soon he would return from the DL.  Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Danny Knobler
