Diamondbacks

NEWS: Arizona selected infielder Jake Hager, placed infielder Emmanuel Rivera on the 60-day IL, and moved outfielder Ketel Marte to the 10-day IL.

IMPACT: Medium

BHQ SPIN: Hager was called up to replace Rivera as a right-handed hitting backup infielder. Rivera’s season is over while Hager will look to build upon the 85 wRC+ he posted at both Triple-A and his brief stint in the Majors earlier this season. Marte was previously placed on the COVID-IL but was moved to the standard 10-day IL with an undisclosed injury. His season is likely over.
