BHQ take: Smith had pitched pretty well for the Marlins, compiling a 4.24 xERA with a 10.2 Dom, a 2.7 Cmd and an 87 BPV. Notably, his last two starts went poorly. If that was because of Smith trying to pitch through the lat injury, he has an even more compelling case for the future. Unfortunately, that's not likely to be in 2018 (although we've left him with a token amount...
