NEWS: Miami placed outfielder Avisaíl García on the 10-day IL with back tightness. Xavier Edwards has been recalled from AAA-Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: García has been struggling mightily this year so this might be a good time for him to reset. García’s skills profile has been a continuation of his struggles last season as his 4 BB%, 67 CT% and 86 PX are all well below league average. Edwards should fill a utility role for the Marlins in the short term and his skills were highlighted in this week’s CALL UPS article. Garret Hampson is one to keep an eye on as he stands a chance to gain some additional playing time in García’s absence. García’s PT has been reduced...
