NEWS: San Francisco placed shortstop Brandon Crawford on the 10-day IL with a strained right hamstring.

BHQ SPIN: An injury-riddled season that saw Crawford play in less than 100 games for the first time since his rookie year in 2011 (excluding 2020) has come to a close with a strained right hamstring. Shortstop Marco Luciano was recalled from the minors and will take over everyday duties in the six-hole. The team also released shortstop Paul DeJong to make room for utilityman Tyler Fitzgerald who had his contract selected from the minors.
