Cardinals | Jhonny Peralta could miss 2-3 months
St. Louis Cardinals SS Jhonny Peralta (hand) could miss two to three months with a torn ligament in his left thumb. He will head back to St. Louis for a second opinion, at which time the Cardinals will have a better feel for his return timetable.  Source: MLB.com - Jenifer Langosch
 
BHQ take: Jhonny Peralta apparently will miss the at least the first third of the 2016 season, and the Cardinals will have to address their middle infield options for a good chunk of the season. The 34-year old Peralta had a very good first half of 2015, hitting .297 (.282 xBA)...
