Washington Nationals C Matt Wieters (hamstring) had surgery Wednesday, May 16, to repair his injured left hamstring. A timetable for his recovery was not disclosed.  Source: MASNSports.com - Dan Kolko
 
BHQ take: The fact that Wieters needed surgery suggests he will be out longer than first anticipated. His xBA of .262 is fine for a catcher in a two-catcher league, but not when it comes with an xPX of 41, which is what Pedro Severino has compiled so far in 2018.
