SD trades Craig Kimbrel to BOS in return for minor leaguers Manuel Margot, Logan Allen, Javier Guerra and Carlos Asuaje

The Padres are active again this winter, but this time as rebuilders, with Craig Kimbrel (RHP, BOS) moving to the AL and into the closer role at Fenway Park over Koji Uehara. Kimbrel was certainly more hittable in 2015, posting the worst ERA and hr/9 of his career. But considering that these were 2.58 and 0.9 respectively—and in light of his 13.2 Dom, 39 saves, 171 BPV and continuing 97 mph velocity—​Kimbrel remains one of MLB's few elite closers and should manage just fine with the Red Sox. Uehara should still be attractive in deep leagues and strikeout formats, but as a health risk at age 40 and now without a ninth...
