BHQ take: Romo’s departure opens up the Marlins’ closer job. Many pundits are speculating that Nick Anderson will get the first shot to close. Entering play on July 28, he had an unimpressive 4.04 xERA, but that came with a 14.0 Dom, a 4.7 Ctl and a 178 BPV. On July 28, however, Anderson pitched the eighth inning, albeit not in a save situation—the Marlins were up 5-1....
