Yankees | Michael Pineda may have torn UCL
New York Yankees RHP Michael Pineda (elbow) was placed on the 10-day disabled list Friday, July 14, with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. Pineda is expected to get a second opinion after he was initially advised to undergo Tommy John surgery.  Source: YES Network - Jack Curry
 
BHQ take: Pineda retains a shred of playing time for now, in the event that his second opinion provides some hope of a September return. Add in the fact that he also has a flexor tendon strain, and fantasy owners should feel very confident in cutting him for 2017 (and perhaps 2018...
