While Carlson could resume his role in CF, this could alternatively provide an opportunity to get Alec Burleson some extra opportunities – although he has struggled up to this point (20 AB, .150/.227/.192). If Burleson can get his bat going, he could force a strong-side platoon role alongside Carlson.
