PT TODAY: Cards alleviate OF logjam by demoting Walker

NEWS:  OF Jordan Walker optioned to AAA-Memphis.

IMPACT:  High

BHQ SPIN: While it was no secret that the Cardinals needed to ease their current OF situation, this was not a move that many anticipated. Walker (-35%) is sent down after hitting .274/.321/.397 in 73 AB in his debut. The rookie has had some defensive struggles, so the thinking may be to get him everyday work in the OF away from the mounting pressure stemming from the big club’s attempts to right the ship. INF Taylor Motter (+30%) rejoins the active roster after clearing waivers; OF Alec Burleson (+5%) will pick up the extra PT as there is one less mouth to feed for the time being.
