Tampa Bay Rays RP Brad Boxberger (abdomen) had surgery to repair a core muscle and will miss eight weeks, according to manager Kevin Cash. The team will fill his role internally, and they won't name an official closer.  Source: Tampa Bay Times - Marc Topkin
 
BHQ take: The muscle in question is the adductor brevis muscle in Boxberger's groin, and a more accurate determination of his recovery schedule will be made four weeks after the March 18 surgery.
