Blue Jays | Bo Bichette placed on IL
Toronto Blue Jays INF Bo Bichette (knee) was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, Aug. 16, because of a right knee sprain. The team also recalled INF Santiago Espinal from their alternate training site.   Source: MLB.com
 
BHQ take: Blue Jay officials are saying the injury was worse than expected, and Bichette will be out well into September. We’ve dramatically cut his projected at bats and more cuts could be forthcoming. Espinal played plenty of shortstop in the minors and may see some of the playing time at short. Espinal split 2019 between Double-A and Triple-A and...
