Cliff Lee placed on DL

After watching Cliff Lee (LHP, PHI) pitch 10 shutout innings in his April 18 start, fantasy owners had no reason to think that Lee was anything but the picture of health. However, sometime during that 10th inning, Lee strained his oblique, and on Saturday, he was placed on the 15-day disabled list. Lee owners will obviously be hoping for a quick return for the pitcher, whose early season performance spoke very much to a player still at the height of his powers (145 BPV, 2.36 xERA, 9.0 Cmd).

To replace Lee, the Phillies will turn once again to Kyle Kendrick (RHP, PHI), who, as BaseballHQ.com starting-pitching analyst Stephen Nickrand noted back on March 5, last year picked up his game a bit...
