Liriano back on track?

Francisco Liriano (LHP, MIN) pitched another gem Wednesday night, going 6.2 innings, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, but he did not factor in the decision. Since being re-inserted into the rotation on May 30, Lirano has put together a sparking line: 30.1 IP, 2.67 ERA, 10.5 Dom, and 2.9 Cmd. In addition, all five starts were PQS-DOM, though he only gained one win and his W-L is still an uninspiring 1-7.

Back on May 11 when he was demoted to the bullpen, we mentioned that he has to "regain control of the strike zone to become effective again." And he's done that, too: his 3.5 Ctl over that span isn't a world-beater, but it's much improved from his 5.0 level of 2011 and his 6.4 number at the time. His...
