Cuddyer to DL, Friedrich out for season

COL received unpleasant injury news regarding two players this weekend. Michael Cuddyer (1B/OF, COL) was placed on the 15-day DL, retroactive to August 1, with a strained right oblique. Cuddyer last played July 31, and initially stated he would only miss a couple of games, but could reportedly now miss up to three weeks. He  started 22 games at 1B and 68 games in RF this season. Tyler Colvin (RF, COL) stands to be the PT beneficiary while Cuddyer is sidelined.

Colvin has played all three OF spots and seen six spot starts at 1B. In the month of July, Colvin started 12 times in RF, while Cuddyer slid over to 1B during Todd Helton's (1B, COL) DL stint. Colvin was a recent...
