Morneau hits the DL

The Minnesota Twins were nearly no-hit for the second time in a week on May 5. So it is perhaps unsurprising that there will be some new names on the lineup card in the days ahead. Not all of the changes are being made willingly, however.

The sore wrist of former MVP Justin Morneau (DH, MIN) will reportedly force him to the disabled list. Morneau had been enjoying something of a rebound this season, matching his 2011 HR output in a fraction of the at-bats, though he had not hit one since a 2-HR game April 18 against the Yankees.
