Royals | Jamey Carroll acquired
The Kansas City Royals acquired 2B Jamey Carroll from the Minnesota Twins Sunday, Aug. 11, in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations. Manager Ned Yost said Carroll will platoon at second base with 2B Chris Getz (knee) when he returns from the disabled list. Carroll also provides depth at third base and shortstop.  Source: The Associated Press
