PLAYING TIME: Burnett moves on to Pittsburgh

NATIONAL LEAGUE

It’s official:  Pirates land Burnett

A.J. Burnett (RHP, PIT) passed his physical Sunday, and MLB gave its approval, making the long-rumored trade to PIT (along with $20M) a reality.  The Pirates will pay Burnett $13M over the next two seasons -- which could actually be a minor bargain in spite of his recent numbers.
