NEWS: The Toronto Blue Jays placed OF Jesús Sánchez on the 10-day IL with a sprained right ankle; OF Yohendrick Piñango was recalled from AAA-Buffalo in a corresponding move.

BHQ SPIN: Sánchez suffered the injury during the seventh inning of Friday's contest against the Texas Rangers and was forced to make an early departure. While initial post-game X-rays came back negative for a fracture, the injury is severe enough that the 28-year-old will not be able to avoid a stint on the shelf. He will first be eligible to return to the active lineup on July 7. To fill the opening on the 26-man roster, Toronto is recalling 24-year-old Piñango. With both Sánchez and infielder/outfielder
